The Senior TD Partner assists in designing and facilitating timely learning programs to address business needs within budget. Position partners with Development, HR, and Company Divisions/Departments to build internal bench strength, pipeline for succession, and talent mobility/readiness.  Designs cohesive training aligned with CPs, Skills Gaps, Performance Goals, and Succession enabling teams to improve performance effectiveness and retention.  Collaborates closely with VP HR, key managers/team leaders, and others.  Assures alignment of learning with Talent Review/Succession goals, position competencies, and catalogs/coordinates all development feedback. Position responsibilities include following areas:  Developing/deploying/managing High Potential training program, Assisting in development and administering Executive Development Learning Program in partnership with VP of HR and Development Manager, Curriculum Design and Delivery, Development Records and “Internal Resumes”.  Additionally, the Senior TD Partner may supervise or act as Lead to other Trainers directly or indirectly, as depends on growth rate of HR or Talent Development.

Performs a variety of Design, Development, Facilitation and Oversight duties for Talent enhancement inclusive of: 

Participates in carrying out goals and objectives of annual Talent Review and Succession plans for the Company, inclusive of content design for HiPo (High Potential) and Executive Leadership development.

Participates in annual organizational Work Force Planning.

Establishes Successor candidates reporting on Leadership Competency Model, designs or identifies learning, and tracks progress. 

Establishes and monitors Successor risk reporting. 

Develops HiPo Cohort or similar management for future time-based completion, matching completion dates of cohorts to expected business needs.  

Coordinates with VP HR to measure program cost/benefits and ROI (i.e. readiness of Successors or HiPos versus business needs, etc.).

Development and maintenance of HiPo and EDP program records inclusive of selection requirements, enrollment, communications, participant commitments, etc.

Administers feedback surveys periodically of participants and their managers to identify continual improvement opportunities. 

Conducts annual Talent Review and IDP training for new managers or as a refresher course. 

Works with Administrators of LMS and Development Manager to utilize technology as applicable for learning delivery, record keeping, reporting, etc.    

Coordinates with VP HR, HR Director and Development Manager to assure alignment of all development activities with Succession, Performance Management, current or future CPs, and IDPs. 

Maintains annual Talent Sheets (from Talent Reviews) and coordinates with Departmental Managers to assure execution on development plans (Career Paths or IDPS).  Notifies VP HR of changes in status/outlook throughout year via quarterly updates.  Identifies trends in needed development from Talent Sheets and recommends learning resources (i.e. on-site classroom training, web conferences, etc.) to address gaps. 

Coordinates with VP HR or other team members to identify trends in Action Plans and PIPS for learning/development needs or gaps.  Identifies and recommends training to address, and delivers as agreed with VP HR.

Coordinating with VP HR to design and execute annual Training Needs Assessment aligned with LT’s Strategic and Business goals for the year.  Reports on results and makes recommendations.  Completing other duties as needed/requested.


Carries out Lead or Supervisory duties for direct or matrixed training/development staff to include:

Assisting with hiring and/or overseeing performance. 

Conducting regular check-in meetings and work-load balancing. 

Assuring team member cross training. 

Establish and maintain schedules and hours of work. 

Manage requests or complaints regarding work output or quality. 

Coaching and developing staff. 

Acts as back-up to VP HR or other team members as needed/requested.

Education/Certification:      Undergraduate degree with ATD or similar certification (preferred).


Required Knowledge:           Corporate Trainer Body of Knowledge with emphasis on Talent Development, Experience with Office Equipment, Excel, PPT,

                                                            Word, Outlook, HRIS, Desktops/Laptops/Tablets/Smartphones.


Experience Required:           7+ years of Training and Talent Development experience, preferably in a fast-paced working environment, matrix organization, or other complex situation.
