The mission of is to improve the quality of healthcare by ensuring that patients have access to medical providers whenever and wherever needed through the use of innovative staffing solutions. This role will help the company grow and scale its software development team and technology/digital investments over the coming years to evolve these staffing solutions.  


The leader should demonstrate a keen interest in and understanding of both technology and business. Responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of the company to include software development, disaster recovery, enterprise systems, and information security. This role will be “hands-on” and actively involved in the day-to-day software development and operations of the team.

The successful candidate has experience working within an Agile development framework to coordinate multiple teams and projects delivering software products. They have a track record of excellent communication, successful leadership, and continual alignment with the company’s strategy.

In addition, the Technology Leader will own the primary relationship with Jackson Healthcare technology team related to shared services for infrastructure, email services, internet bandwidth, remote access, server provisioning, server monitoring and business continuity. This position:

  • Exhibits a clear understanding of and dedication to improving the competitive position of the Company.
  • Works with the SVP Information Services to grow the company through technology including identifying, prioritizing, and executing a long-term technology/digital roadmap.
  • Continuously assesses current technology footprint, drives technology decisions, and leads PoCs of new solutions / capabilities.
  • Manages the organization's software development team, outsourced partners, and 3rd party software providers.
  • Supervisory responsibilities include: Hires and trains members of a high performing software development team.  Provides direction and supervision for all development staff.  Identifies opportunities for associate training and skills advancement. 
  • Develops and implements IT policy and best practice guidelines for the company.
  • Ensures development team, including testing and quality assurance, outputs meet project requirements.
  • Leverages agile development including estimation, test automation, deployment automation, and continuous integration to improve overall execution speed and code quality.
  • Works in a consultative fashion with other department heads, such as marketing, production and operations as an advisor of technologies that may improve their efficiency and effectiveness.



Education: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree and 10-15 years related experience. The selected candidate will have: 

  • Proven ability to demonstrate strategic thinking skills and to work cross functionally across and within the organization.
  • Extensive knowledge of software development methodologies from concept to coding to release management. Previous experience leading multiple teams and projects simultaneously.
  • Previous agile experience.
  • Strong IT operational proficiency and experience leading technology/business transformation initiatives.
  • Demonstrated track record of building and leading high-performing teams toward the successful attainment of challenging goals in support of the corporate business strategy with strong results orientation and sense of urgency.
  • Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
